Do I apply ice or heat for the relief of my headaches/migraines?


hey guys I’m left to bet and I’m an
osteopath the moment I take solutions and today we’re talking about Dwight I
said what do I hate it in regards to my headaches and migraines now this is a
really common question that I get asked in regards to people suffering in the
midst of a severe headache of migraine and unfortunately the answer is neither
eyes nor Heat are really gonna make that much difference when you’re suffering
from a severe headache or migraine so sometimes though what can make the most
difference is making yourself feel as comfortable as possible in the middle of
a severe pain attack so if you feel like your body is asking for eyes by all
means apply eyes if you feel like your body is asking for heat apply hate
although it’s not gonna make that much of a difference
feeling comfortable can make that much difference okay so if you are going to
apply ice or heat though you really don’t want to apply it to the front of
your neck you have some very delicate structures either through the front of
your neck and you don’t want to negatively compromise any structures so
if you are gonna fly ice I hate you do want to apply it to the back of your
neck so using my handy cat eat bag here you want to apply it to the back of the
neck and draping it over your shoulders and then say not wrapping it around your
neck like this so around here even if you are experiencing tight muscles
through the front of the neck so if I so heat aren’t going to be positively
affecting your headaches and migraines what is going to be positively affecting
your headaches and migraines and that is movement that is my number one tip for
you movement I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again it isn’t movement our
bodies aren’t designed to do any one thing for too long and that includes
Dianetics and as we know and necks are responsible for most of our headaches
and migraines sorry that includes taking monthly pins on the weekend sitting in
front of our desks for too long sitting on the couch watching TV doing all those
things that I know you love so much except for maybe the work part so what
can we do to counter like this we need to get up and we need
to move so I’m talking about going for walks doing full-body physical exercise
now if you can’t do these things on a regular basis then you need to do some
regular neck exercises so just getting it moving so by looking from side to
side doing neck circles doing those sorts of things that’s the next best
thing but as I said full body exercise full body movements that’s the best
thing that you can do for your whole body as well as v-neck okay so that’s my
number one tip to decrease the intensity and the frequency of your headaches and
