    I am now seventy four years old and I gym daily. All if a sudden I found that my workout seemed to be much easier and my energy levels were boundless. One day I saw a video like this and I realized that I had started eating Celery a couple of weeks earlier. Now I eat a stick every day. Even when I feel like a little snack, I'll chew on a stick of Celery. Maybe I should mention that at my age I still enjoy the sexual company of a girl.     BE CAREFUL!!! One stalk of celery has over 400mg of potassium. When I had a gout flareup I started juicing celery because it has a natural and almost immediate effect on your alkalinity levels which, for gout sufferers, you want to raise to flush out the uric acid build up. BUT!!! My celery consumption dangerously spiked my potassium levels well above a 6 and freaked my doctor out. A potassium level above 6 could result in a sudden and fatal heart attack.     I have huge amounts of celery in my crisper, so I'm not knocking celery, but I will say this- as far as acid reflux is concerned you just need to pay attention to what you ate for dinner. In my case it's meats. I began to notice that my body would try and make me upchuck in my sleep after having meats. I didn't over-indulge or anything; my body just doesn't want it. When I removed that from my diet- I did not have that problem.
    I had a co-worker who loved sockeye salmon, but began to have a problem with acid reflux and that was why. His body produced too much acid when he ate it. I'm just sharing this in the hopes of keeping even one person off of drugs because they ALL have side effects.

    Hi if anyone doesnโ€™t want to eat raw celery, try stir fry it using pan and add some oil and salt. It may increase a bit calories but it really makes it much more eatable so you can stick to it for daily use. Cover with lid and cook for about 4-5 mins
